Sullivan
Farms is West Virginias oldest and largest Thoroughbred
farm.
For four generations the farm has developed a tradition of breeding,
raising, and racing quality horses. Our fertile limestone pastures
are spacious, soil-tested, and enclosed with new four-board
oak fences.
Our feed and mineral program is designed to raise strong, sound
race horses.
Each horse in our care is routinely wormed, trimmed, vaccinated,
and treated as if it were our own.
We also offer our clients a full range of services:
BOARDING
- BREAKING - TRAINING - PEDIGREE ANALYSIS
STALLION SYNDICATION - PHOTOGRAPHY - ACCOUNTING & TAX CONSULTATION
For
many years, OSullivan Farms has stood West Virginias
most influential sires including:
Housebuster, Black Tie Affair, Prized, Meadow Monster, Supremus,
etc.
Our
business is to stand quality stallions at affordable prices. Currently
8 of the 10 leading 2007 West Virginia sires either currently
stands or stood at OSullivan Farms (see
chart). In 2007 we bred 258 mares and foaled 98. We are always
ready to assist you with your foaling and breeding needs.
Our
racing stable specializes in training young horses. Our emphasis
is on quality, not quantity. In recent years, private conditioner
George Yetsook has developed West Virginia-breds such as Confucius
Say, Julie B, and Earth Power to become Charles Town champions.
Young
horses are always available for purchase
at either the farm or the track. For 68 years family-owned and
operated OSullivan Farms has set the standard for the West
Virginia thoroughbred industry.
If you want your horses treated as quality individuals and given
the utmost in experienced care, give us a call. Better yet, stop
by and check out our stallions and facilities. Visitors
are always welcome.
